Homemade Pecan Pie Filling
Deep dish pecan pie filling from an old family recipe.
Rich and yummmmy....
Prepare your pie crust, heat your oven to 350 degrees.
Bake pie for 50-60 minutes
Ingredients:
3 eggs beaten
1/2 cup of sugar
1/4 cup of butter or oleo
1 cup of light corn syrup (Karo)
1/8 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1 cup of chopped pecans
Beat eggs, add sugar, butter, syrup, salt, and vanilla.
Line pan with plain flour pastry/pie crust. Place pecans in the bottom of pan on top of pastry, covering the pan. ( you can add more pecans to taste)
Pour mixture of ingredients over the pecans. Pecans will rise as pie bakes.
Place in oven and bake till done. Remove from oven, let pie cool, before cutting.
